flight, twilight, sleepover, and kimbers wedding!

So on Thursday we barely made it to the airport on time only to find out that our flight got delayed a whole hour! YUCK! Luckily, both Dana and I had our laptops to keep us entertained! When we finally got on the plane we watched HP 6 to make the flight go faster! And it did! Thank goodness because we were SOO excited to be going home! I finally got home about 11 and my brothers and sister were freaking out because we only had an hour before twilight started so I got home and ran right back out the door again! haha! Here are a few pictures from the midnight showing! Oh and the movie was AWESOME!

That next night for Karissa's birthday we had a sleepover in a tent in Karissa's backyard! It was so fun to see all the girls! The next day I helped my sister at a boutique selling head bands and baby bands! They were so cute and they made a TON of money! That night was Kimber's wedding! Crazy Crazy Crazy! It was gorgeous!!!! I am happy I could be down in Mesa for it! Here are a few pictures from the wedding!

So after hours of hard work and dedication we finally packed all the food in my car and took it to the Food Bank here in Provo! It was awesome!

We had a total of 847 pounds of food! I'm so proud BYU 38th ward! Way to be! :)

Food Drive!

For my calling on the Pure Religion Committee Mike M, Mike J, and I were in charge of the November service project! We decided to go with a canned food drive seeing as it was November and all, so on Saturday we got together and put out 300 fliers and bags in neighborhoods over by the temple here in Provo. It took us three hours! Long morning haha! Then on Monday night we gave each FHE family about 30 houses to collect food from! After a long and time consuming process we got all the donations back to my apartment! We ended up having a total of 846 pounds of food that we donated to the local food bank! Way to go BYU 38th Ward!!!
Our first task after receiving the food was organizing all the food and making sure it was all usable! We got some pretty hilarious stuff (dont worry pictures of these humorous items are at the end of this post! dont you dare skip to the end haha jk)
here are a few pictures of the food as well as the organization party!

Then we had to carry all of the food to my car! It was riding SO low after we put all the food in there! and it all fit! hooray! heres a pic of the boys showing off their muscles from carrying all of those cans!

All right and now for the part you have been waiting for! Here are the top worst things we got from all the donations!
Honorable mention goes to.... drum roll please...
The retaped box of jello mix and
The opened bag of marshmallows that had to have been at least a few years old! It was as hard as a rock!!!!! No matter how hard we pounded it we could break at!

Now here goes the top three...
In third (oh and thank you to Brian for being my model!!)we have a cookie mix from Christmas last year haha!

and in first and second place (now you may be asking yourself how anything could get worse than the what we have already seen but oh dont you worry it can!)
In second place- a half used pancake mix that had been expired for quite a while.

And now for the moment you have all been waiting for! The first place prize goes to.... spaghetti sauce that expired in 1999! yes 1999, 10 years ago! The sauce was turning a nasty greenish black color and the sauce was less of a sauce and more of a molding solid! Disguesting?? oh yeah!

Well all in all, we had an amazing food drive and are so grateful for all the poeple who donated food!

happy halloween! :)

Getting ready...more getting ready...

At the dance! so fun!

the three of us also volunteered at a spook alley for little kids! It was SOOO fun but it was way scary! I was so creeped out at first and I had to go through it about 40 times! It was in the basement of this creepy old school!

Things that make me happier than they should...

First, crunchy leaves! I mean anyone who doesn't go out of their way to step one of these babies...

is just plain crazy! I mean just one look at this thing and you HAVE to step on it!

Secondly, We Shot the Moons new CD called "A Silver Lining"
Yes... I'm obsessed. Don't judge....

Thirdly, BYU devotionals. I don't know what it is about the BYU devotionals that make them just plain fantastic!

Love it!

Fourthly, the best TV show in the whole world Psych. Its pretty much amazing
a pictures worth a thousand words...

Fifth, and definitely most importantly
Yes, those are sandwiches in the shape of dinosaurs. Could anything be more awesome? Absolutely NOT!
