experience the city like a five year old!

So this week on Friday (ok can I just go off on a tangent here and say Fridays are the best day of the week. no other day can compare to that glorious feeling that you get when you wake up and realize that the next day is the weekend. best. feeling. ever. anyways...) I decided to take Richard to Columbia University for a little children's concert. It was so. stinking. cute. We even got little shakers and everything! It was epic!

After we took a taxi over the other side of central park (the ritzie side) and had ourselves some dinner at the cutest little Mexican restaurant. Now when i say Mexican I don't actually mean "Mexcian". This is "New York Mexican" which way more American than it is Mexican. NY does not know how to do Mexican at all. Its pretty depressing.... After I took him on the Subway because he had never been and thought that going was pretty much the coolest thing since sliced bread, and who was I to deprive him of this experience. I think that after he was a little shell shocked and ready to take the taxi again! haha!

Then I took him to Grand Central Station since he had never been there before either. He LOVED it. I mean who couldn't love thousands of people hurrying and rushing in every direction. That place is so alive!  Right after our train left the station they evacuated everyone from Grand Central because of a bomb threat! We got out just in time! Thank goodness!
