harrison, new york

I have officially been here eight whole days!! I can't believe it! It seems like I have been here much longer! I'm loving it here the kids are super cute and very well behaved which I am so very very very grateful for! The city is beyond beautiful, and my new singles ward is amazing! Some super important people are even in my stake and meet right before my ward! ie glen beck, the founders of jet blue, and some sports coach that I can't remember. Needless to say the building we meet in is beyond gorgeous! Flat screen tv's and huge!!! It's snowed quite a bit but luckily the car I drive out here has four wheel drive and drives in the snow like a champ! I haven't even slid once! Starting a new job has been interesting and trying to get around without getting lost has been my biggest challenge. A ton of streets here don't have posts telling you the street names, there are tons of one way streets, and no streets run in a straight line. It makes me miss the grid system in Utah desperatly! On monday I had to pick up the youngest from school so I put the address in my GPS (my new best friend) and it took me to who knows where! I was beyond lost and couldn't get ahold of either of the parents because they were in meetings so in a panic and as a last resort called the old nanny in a panic hoping she could help me! luckily she knew exactly where I was and helped me get to his school. I was 20 minutes late (ouch) and made a 4 minutes drive into a 40 minute excursion. I think I finally have the hang of it now though. I think... Anyways I went exploring Harrison today. Its a super cute little town

Its great! Also best. day. ever. I was walking down the street and saw the most beautiful sight. A LIBRARY! I was so happy :)
the view from the comfiest chair I have ever had the pleasure to sit in. New favorite place? oh yeah!!!!

Also, dress up is my favorite :)
