culture shock

This weekend I went and hung out with some of the other lovely nannies from the area. We went down to Port Chester to do a little shopping, dinner, and a movie. We were having the time of our lives until we got out of our movie at 1 am and went to find our car and found that my friend (who I drove with) her window was completely shattered!!! We called the police department to file a report and had to wait for them to come take a look. We stood in a creepy parking garage for what seemed like FOREVER until the cops finally showed up. They filled a report and cleaned up the glass. I'm pretty sure they were the nicest cops ever! They even followed us home to make sure we got there without any problems. The worst part was driving back 15 miles with no window in the 10 degree weather! BRRRR!!!  Luckily, the only thing that was stolen was a GPS. Thank goodness :) Thank you oh so much New York for my culture shock.
