So, i just started a new job working at the BYU creamery! So far i love it! i love that we work and set teams so im always working with the same people and they are amazing! however, starting a new job is always interesting... trying to get the hang of a fast paced job when everyone else knows what they are doing besides you can be pretty crazy! let's just say i didn't make in through the week without making a few little mistakes... ok ALOT of mistakes! haha some worse then others but of course this post would be boring with out a few good stories so here goes...
the first day i got there they forgot to get me my uniform for me (we wear polos) so they had to make do with the ones that just got back from dry cleaning which consisted of an xxs or an xl. lovely... so my whole first shift of work i had was swimming in an xl large t shirt! haha
Then, on saturday, the ice cream part of the store closes at midnight and then after cleaning up we get to go home. we started cleaning around 11:30 because there were not many people coming in because it was getting late... well around 11:55 right before we were about to close and we had just finished cleaning everything some random person comes in and asks for a shake. now shakes are pretty much the vain of my existence. they are so hard to make and if your not careful you will cut your hand of! not even kidding! so one of my co workers was instructing me on shake making and i pulled out the cup right as he turned on the blade! bad timing! the shield that keeps you from getting milky ice cream all over yourself fell off and i dropped the cup trying to get my hand away from the blade and ice cream went EVERYWHERE within six feet of the machine! i mean EVERYWHERE including all over myself and my hair and my co-worker! yuck! so we had to stay an extra 15 minutes just to clean up that mess! oh the adventures this job is brining me! well sorry for the novel! im sure i will have ALOT more interesting and embarrassing stories to come!
ps a general authority totally came into the creamery yesterday! oh utah you never disappointed!
