cleaning day

every friday after all the guests leave we clean camp and today the family that was staying where we cleaned was taking about a million and a half years to leave so we chatted it up while we waited and saw this...

we felt a little awkward so we gave them a some privacy.

yes. my life does rock.

yes. he looked me in the eye at random times giving his talk.
yes. i did shake his hand and he told me that he loves me.
and yes. my life is awesome.

random skills

Here at Aspen Grove this summer working with four years olds I am learning some super random skills that will probably never come in handy ever again.

1. Making rockets

2. learning to glitter glue 14 super hero masks in a matter of a just a few minutes (oh yeah check out these awesome masks)

3. Making anything out of play-dough on demand of a four year old (this is my attempt at a dinner party set)

4. learning to have the ability to yell louder then an entire family reunion as well as fourteen four year olds.

the fort

In the dorm building at aspen grove that i live in we have a little loft that you can only get to by climbing on top of the walls. It has a bunch of matresses up there and for the first time a few weeks ago we finally climbed up there to see it. We fell in love with it up there and it has become out little tree house! (even though it isn't in a tree)

The other night I heard someone calling my name so i looked over from my top bunk from to closet and saw this...

each day I reminded why I love this place

not only is is beautiful beyond all reason

but I pretty much have the best job ever. I get to play with four year olds all day and get payed for it! It can't get much better then that! They are so cute and so entertaining! They say the funniest things! One kid the other day asked me how old I was and I told him to guess one said 8 and the other said 40... not even close young children. They are also constantly asking me if i sleep in our "classroom". Some times I just tell them yes to see the look on their faces. SO priceless!!!!!!

Also, I'm pretty sure Aspen Grove is one of the only places in the world where you can just casually say hi to general authorities as they walk by! LOVE IT!

but most of all I LOVE LOVE LOVE the people that I work with! Not only are they incredible entertaining but they are just amazing! I have some of the funnest times with them! The other day I walked into the lobby to find this....
